Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 September 2026

Akira Advisory respects your privacy and handles personal information with care and discretion. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact us or engage our services.

We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where they apply to us.

Who we are

Akira Advisory provides people, culture and leadership advisory services from Perth, Western Australia. Privacy enquiries may be sent to Abby@Akira-Advisory.com or by post to 152–158 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000, Australia.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, telephone number and organisation;
  • information you include in an enquiry, booking request or correspondence;
  • professional and billing information relevant to an engagement;
  • website usage, device and technical information collected through hosting logs and analytics; and
  • other information you choose to provide.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential case material or identifying information about another person through the website enquiry form. We will arrange a more appropriate channel if that information is needed.

How we collect information

We generally collect information directly from you through our website forms, email, telephone calls, meetings and engagement documents. We may also receive information from an organisation engaging us, a professional referrer or another person where it is lawful and appropriate to do so.

Why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange introductory or Clarity Sessions;
  • deliver requested resources, such as the First 90 Days of Leading guide;
  • assess, establish and perform advisory engagements;
  • communicate with clients and maintain business records;
  • operate, secure and improve our website and services; and
  • meet legal, regulatory, insurance and professional obligations.

Requesting a resource does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. If we introduce a mailing list, we will provide a clear choice and an unsubscribe option.

Service providers and disclosure

We may disclose information to trusted providers that help us operate the website and business, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud for website hosting and form processing, Hostinger for email delivery and storage, analytics providers, and professional advisers where reasonably necessary. These providers may process or store information in Australia or overseas locations in which they or their infrastructure operate.

We do not sell personal information. We may otherwise disclose it with your consent, where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so highly sensitive material should not be sent through the public website or ordinary email without prior agreement.

How long we keep information

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected:

  • enquiries that do not become an engagement are generally deleted or de-identified within 24 months after the last substantive contact;
  • resource-delivery records are generally kept for no longer than 12 months unless you continue communicating with us;
  • client, engagement, billing and associated business records are generally kept for seven years after an engagement ends; and
  • security and hosting logs are retained according to operational need and provider settings.

We may retain information for longer where required by law, insurance, dispute-resolution or professional obligations. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, including through routine mailbox, storage and backup-management processes.

Access, correction and deletion

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or request deletion where we are not required to retain it. Contact us at Abby@Akira-Advisory.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Privacy concerns

Please send any privacy question or complaint to the email address above. We will acknowledge it and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published here with its revision date.
